Cosmetics comprise a range of products that are used to care for the face and body or to accentuate or change the appearance of the face or body. The products include skin care, personal care, cosmetics and fragrance. There is a vast array of cosmetics available, with each sub-category having its own characteristics and mixture of chemical compounds derived from natural sources or created synthetically.Cosmetics can be used to cleanse, such as shampoo, body wash and face cleanser, to replenish, exfoliate and protect the skin, like scrubbers, toners, serums, moisturisers, and balms, or to enhance one's appearance, such as makeup. Makeup products include lipstick, lipliner, mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, foundation, blush, highlighter, bronzer, primer and several others. However, the legal definition of cosmetics in most countries is broader.

Manufacturing is the production of products for use or sale, using labor and machines, tools, and chemical or biological processing or formulation. It is the essence of secondary industry. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high-tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial design, in which raw materials from primary industry are transformed into finished goods on a large scale. Such goods may be sold to other manufacturers for the production of other more complex products (such as aircraft, household appliances, furniture, sports equipment or automobiles), or distributed via the tertiary industry to end users and consumers (usually through wholesalers, who in turn sell to retailers, who then sell them to individual customers). Manufacturing engineering, or the manufacturing process, are the steps through which raw materials are transformed into a final product.

Unlike the 2006 EP, Security Screenings, Preparations is considered the proper follow-up to the 2005 album, Surrounded by Silence. The album includes a 15-track bonus disc entitled Interregnums, which features "unheard explorations into orchestral soundtrack music", including compositions played by live musicians.

In general, it is the sale of goods to anyone other than a standard consumer. Wholesaling is the selling of merchandise to anyone either a person or an organization other than the end consumer of that merchandise. According to the United Nations Statistics Division, wholesale is the resale (sale without transformation) of new and used goods to retailers, to industrial, commercial, institutional or professional users, or to other wholesalers, or involves acting as an agent or broker in buying merchandise for, or selling merchandise to, such persons or companies. Wholesalers frequently physically assemble, sort and grade goods in large lots, break bulk, repack and redistribute in smaller lots.
